Warranty and extension
WARRANTY
IMPORTANT - Do not confuse maintenance and warranty. Maintenance and adjustments are not included in the warranty. Keep your invoice or sales receipt with date of purchase (the only document that validates the warranty).
1. Duration of the warranty
The bike (frame and fork) is guaranteed for 5 years.
The motor, battery, controller and display are guaranteed for 2 years.
The warranty takes effect from the date of purchase by the customer. For any warranty claim, the user must present the invoice with the date of purchase.
The buyer cannot claim a termination of the sale, a replacement with a new bicycle or a reduction in the price if the seller is able to repair the defect noted.
Repairing a part does not extend the warranty period.
Your bike is not designed to be used: in sand, in water (motor, battery, controller and display), in a salty environment (on the beach or seaside for example).
Your bicycle is not designed to be stored outside for extended periods of time (maximum 12 hours). It must be stored in a dry and temperate room (frost-free) away from corrosive products: marine environment (e.g. boat deck), weedkiller, acids, solvent.
2. Warranty extension
By registering your bike, you benefit from the warranty extension which will extend it for an additional 5 years. Your bike (frame, fork) will then be guaranteed for 10 years.
The warranty on the motor, battery, controller and display will remain unchanged and will be limited to 2 years from the date of purchase.
To obtain the extended warranty, complete the form here. Make sure you have your bike nearby and have your purchase invoice with you. You will be asked to complete the registration.
Registering your bike can be done at any time and will allow the after-sales service teams to find your file more easily if assistance is needed.
3. General limitation of the guarantee
The warranty is transferable upon resale. The conditions mentioned above apply from the date of initial purchase of the bicycle by the first buyer. A second buyer must be able to provide proof of purchase from the original buyer.
The warranty does not apply if the instructions for use, maintenance, and all other instructions in the user manual have not been followed. Thus, the warranty only applies to use under normal conditions of use (excluding rental or any other professional use) and does not cover damage resulting from improper use (use by two people at the same time, overload , jumps, etc.), non-compliance with operating precautions or an accident.
The warranty does not cover damage to parts showing visible traces of impact, due to a cause unrelated to the quality of the bicycle (accident, shock, fall, etc.).
The warranty does not cover damage caused by repairs or modifications carried out by the user or unauthorized technician. Modifying a bicycle component (frame and/or part, including paint) can result in serious injury.
The warranty does not cover damage resulting from poor maintenance.
The warranty does not apply to wearing parts:
- Tires - Hydraulic and lubricating oils
- The brake linings and the rear lamp (batteries)
- Chains and toothed belts - Handle coverings
- Sprockets, bottom bracket axles and derailleur pulleys
- The paintings
- Speed and brake cables
- Battery
- Bearings and plain bearings
The warranty does not apply to vehicles that have undergone unclamping. The bike is considered unrestrained if its motor provides power greater than 250 W and if its electrical assistance does not cut off after 25 km/h.
Risks linked to unclamping:
- Legal: refer to Article L317-1 (2019) of the Highway Code
- Premature wear of the chain
- Premature wear of the cassette
- Premature wear of the crankset and chainring
- Premature wear of the wheels
- Premature wear of the fork
- Ineffectiveness of the braking system
- Premature engine wear
- Premature battery wear
Technically unavoidable variations in consumption and performance of the battery, as well as a loss of capacity linked to the use of the product, do not constitute a material defect.
4. Battery Warranty Limitation
The battery is not covered by warranty if:
- The battery is discolored.
- The battery case is damaged.
- The battery is open.
- There are traces of opening the battery.
